TESLA ($361.83, -2.76%):

Per Rudy Velez, Director of Business Development at Gateway Fleets, “The Future of Class 8 electric tractors is brighter than ever. Thank you to our team at Gateway Fleets and Jason Gies from Tesla for a very successful day of customer interactions, demo rides and overall electric class 8 tractor discussions. This event helped fleet owners and drivers better understand the value of going electric and how we at Gateway Fleets can make the process less complicated and more of a seamless integration.”

– Tesla sent an email to Model S and X owners thanking them for their support. You can still order a new Model S or X from their limited inventory. Their Fremont Factory production space will shift to Optimus.

– Tesla lowered their Robotaxi minimum rider age to 8 years old, down from 13.

– Cybertruck will go on public display in Turkey for the first time starting March 28th. It will be shown at the Istanbul Emaar Square Mall (Emaar AVM). The event runs until April 5th. Visitors who register in advance can enter the Cybertruck and freely explore its interior and features. Registration link in the sources section.

– Tesla Japan (@teslajapan) announced that the CEV subsidy (Clean Energy Vehicle Introduction Promotion Subsidy) continues at ¥1.27 million ($7,950) after April 1. This amount ranks among the top subsidies for imported vehicles and applies to both the Model 3 and Y.

  • Model 3 RWD: ¥5,313,000 ($33,270) has an effective cost of ¥4,043,000 ($25,320).

  • Model Y RWD: ¥5,587,000 ($34,990) has an effective cost of ¥4,317,000 ($27,040).

– The Model Y L has launched in Singapore. It is priced at S$248,999 ($193,000). Confused on the price? This includes the Singapore COE Category B, Certificate of Entitlement. It is a government-issued right to own and register a vehicle for 10 years. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) controls vehicle numbers through a quota system with open bidding twice monthly. COE premiums are added to the base vehicle price, making new cars crazy expensive.

FLYOVERS:

  • Giga Texas: Joe Tegtmeyer (@JoeTegtmeyer), 27th of March, ‘26. “End of the 1st Qtr arrives, with Cortex 2.0 making progress towards initial (partial) operation in April while work on the 2nd half will continue through the summer. 8 Cybercabs at the outbound lot, more at Crash Testing & tests with Model Ys on the W side. The new Test Track continues to make progress, with additional Geotextile membrane, top fill, a third inner track emerging. The North Campus construction site continues to see grade work & infill being brought in from elsewhere on the site!”

  • Giga Berlin: Vinzig, 26th of March, ‘26.

SPACEX:

– Starbase Pad 1 progress pics by RGV Aerial shows the sheet-piles outlining the future Flame Trench. you can also see a defined outline of ground prep work in the expansion area.

– There is a Hwy 4 road closure at midnight to until 4 a.m. from Production to Massey’s.

– Last night the Booster Transport Stand was rolled to Pad 2 for more fit tests.

– Reports say SpaceX is considering the following strategies for its upcoming IPO:

  • Preferential treatment in share allocations for investors who previously backed Elon’s other ventures (Tesla, Twitter acquisition).

  • Lockup periods for early investors.

  • Up to 30% of shares to individual (retail) investors (Typically only 5-10%).

Expect to see SpaceX file confidentially with regulators in the coming days and investor visits to its facilities and rocket launches.

– The Rwanda Space Agency held discussions with NASA and SpaceX in Washington, D.C. CEO Gaspard Twagirayezu (@gtwagirayezu) met with officials from both for talks to support Rwanda’s goals in communication, Earth observation, and scientific research through international cooperation.

– Current progress of the Gigabays. Florida’s Roberts Road Gigabay looks nice with that dark SpaceX cladding. It also appears to have leveled off the majority of the sides. At Starbase the construction is advancing faster and looks to be only a couple of levels behind Florida. Amazing pics by Greg Scott (@GregScott_photo) and Colleen Liedtke for NSF (@NASASpaceflight).

THE BORING COMPANY:

– TBC held discussions with the city of Houston about a LOOP through the downtown city center for a network of seven stations to reduce traffic congestion. Talks began in May 2023 and continued for about 18 months before ending. Houston Democrat Mayor John Whitmire (@whitmire_john, @houmayor) said the discussions “were not substantive and remained conceptual” and “After review, I determined it was not in Houston’s best interest to move forward.”

Not sure it politics played a roll in this decision, but Whitmire has been a member of the Democrat Party for over 50 years, serving as a Democrat state representative from 1973 to 1983 and as a Democrat state senator from 1983 to 2023 before becoming mayor in 2024. But, many Democrats have criticized him for conservative-leaning positions and attending Republican events, leading the Harris County Democrat Party to bar him from future endorsements. What I do know is that a Houston LOOP (Astro LOOP?) would undoubtedly be in Houston’s best interest and benefit downtown traffic congestion. If you live here or visit, you know. I would love to see the proposals for this.

■ STARLINK:

– Per Mike Marzano (@AstroMikeMarz), SpaceX Corporate Security Officer, “Just a little thank you from work to celebrate Starlink’s 10,000,000 customers. Thank you SpaceX!”

VEON telecom plans to introduce Starlink Mobile to Bangladesh through a partnership with SpaceX and its local operator Banglalink. The next markets for rollout will be Uzbekistan and Pakistan. Local. This follows earlier launches with Beeline in Kazakhstan and Kyivstar in Ukraine. Discussions are progressing to finalize the service in Bangladesh.

– Juan Jesús Mariño Mariño, Sergeant Group Chief and Fire Investigator at the Provincial Fire and Rescue Consortium in Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain, using Starlink to transmit data from the intervention site to the WFP (workplace fire post) or focal points. It works in degraded environments such as forest fires, rural areas, and various disasters for information-based command capacity. Starlink enables UAS (drones) to feed real-time data to the WFP. They do live video streaming (RGB and thermal), send files and hi-res images, access online mapping, weather, and support tools. They share information with 112 emergency services, FCSE (state security forces), and technicians.

– SpaceX will appeal Namibia’s rejection of its Starlink license application. The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) said it was due to failure to meet the 51% local ownership requirement, regulatory compliance, and legal requirements. Per SpaceX, “We believe Starlink would provide meaningful benefits for the people of Namibia, and remain open to working with the government should the decision be revisited.” SpaceX said the outcome was disappointing for the thousands who placed deposits and joined the public consultation where 98.6% supported its entry.

– Ukrainian agricultural company Astarta has connected part of its truck fleet to Starlink. Installs launched in October 2025 in cooperation with Kyivstar as part of their AgriChain project. They equipped trucks transporting agricultural products with GPS trackers using satellite-capable SIM cards. This ensures stable communication in areas with unstable or no mobile network coverage. Astarta says the move allows real-time tracking of routes, transit times, and vehicle status. It improves planning for grain elevators and sugar beet receiving stations, ensures stable raw material supply, and reduces the impact of external factors on logistics.

– At the SATShow 2026 expo in Washington, Türkiye Deputy Transport and Infrastructure Minister Ömer Fatih Sayan said they are in talks with both SpaceX and Amazon over the regulatory and security framework needed for low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite systems to operate in the country. He said Turkish officials informed the companies about required regulations and security conditions, and a roadmap could be presented if they agree to comply.

■ 𝕏:

– Per Nikita Bier (@nikitabier), “The team is finally hitting a rhythm of launching 2-3 net new features weekly and it feels great. The next month will be all about specialized features for X’s biggest communities—including artists, finance people, situation monitors, and many more subgroups.”

– X Devs (@XDevelopers) announced the release of X Activity API (XAA) and Console Updates. XAA allows developers to subscribe to live events on the X platform. Supported events include profile changes (such as bio updates and profile picture updates), Spaces updates, XChat DMs, and more. Events deliver with sub-second latency via persistent HTTP streams or webhooks. Developers create subscriptions by specifying an event_type and filtering by User ID. The API is available to paid developer tiers.

These new features apply to the Developer Console and the Developer Toolbox has a New Notifications suite to receive the latest updates directly in the Console.

■ xAI:

– Elon announced that a big Grok Imagine update is slated for next week.

– The Dutch Amsterdam District Court has ordered xAI to stop Grok from generating non-consensual AI nude images or face daily fines of €100,000 ($115,000) per day until xAI removes the capability for creating such images. The case number is ECLI:NL:RBAMS:2026:3106.
