TESLA ($430.14, -0.007%):

– On November 27th, the first Cybertruck deliveries were completed in South Korea!

– Model Y Performance is now available for purchase in Mexico.

– Per Elon, “Optimus will be the Von Neumann probe…” Von Neumann probes were first conceptualized by mathematician John von Neumann in the 1940s. They enable exponential expansion by mining extraterrestrial materials to produce identical copies, potentially transforming space colonization. Optimus will be a self-replicating machine capable of autonomous interstellar exploration and replication using local resources. “Since we are naming the singular, we will also name the plural, so Optimi it is…”

– Tesla posted a job listing for a Vehicle Operator in Vienna, Austria, to drive and monitor test vehicles for FSD data collection on local roads. The role supports FSD regulatory progress in Europe.

– Today, Manoa Energy launched commercial operations for the Megapack 2XL 50 MW/104 MWh Helios Battery Energy Storage System in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, its first standalone Extra High Voltage BESS.

– Tesla secured a $170 million Megapack order from TagEnergy for a 150MW/600MWh four-hour battery energy storage system adjacent to Australia’s largest wind farm in the southern hemisphere. The combined wind and battery park will meet nearly 10% of Victoria’s electricity needs, with construction starting early next year.

– A new 8 stall Megacharger station will soon open at the Port of Tacoma, Washington, following permit submissions last month in a vacant lot on Taylor Way. Tesla proposed a two site plan option, both accommodating the same number of chargers. H/T MarcoRP (@MarcoRPi1).

– Elon on licensing FSD to legacy auto, “I’ve tried to warn them and even offered to license Tesla FSD, but they don’t want it! Crazy… When legacy auto does occasionally reach out, they tepidly discuss implementing FSD for a tiny program in 5 years with unworkable requirements for Tesla, so pointless.”

– Tesla launched a free 30-day trial of FSD in North America for owners with HW4 who have not purchased FSD.

– Tesla launched its first FSD ride-along program in Europe on November 28th, enabling passengers to experience the system’s performance in real-world traffic conditions from the passenger seat while a Tesla employee occupies the driver’s seat. The initiative begins in Italy, Germany, and France, with bookings available through dedicated Tesla event pages for each country, and expansions to additional nations planned soon.

– Sweden’s first Megapack arrived in Löddeköpinge on November 24th to power multiple new Supercharger stations by smoothing grid loads and boosting charging speeds. This is due to the energy provider restrictions on additional power. It supports widespread V2-to-V4 (3.5) Supercharger upgrades across the country. Exact station numbers, speed improvements, and operational timeline remain unspecified. H/T Nicklas (@NicklasNilsso14).

– Yilun Chen (@yilun_chen_) has departed Apple after nearly four years as a Research Scientist on the Robotics Research Team and Machine Learning Engineer and joined Tesla’s Optimus AI team. “Humanoids are the ultimate dream of our generation. With the recent breakthrough of LLMs and Physical AI, this dream is finally within reach and it’s on us to make it come true. Tesla has the right combination of software, hardware and AI talents to make it happen…”

– The Model 3 achieved 20.8 kWh/100 km and Model Y 21.8 kWh/100 km in China’s Autohome real-world energy-consumption test under controlled conditions of a 375-kg load, 24°C cabin temperature on automatic climate control, and 120 km/h steady cruising speed in high-speed, cold-weather scenarios, securing first and second places respectively among rival EVs.

– Giga Shanghai has fully allocated its remaining 2025 production capacity for all four Model Y trims in China, resulting in sold-out status for new orders this year. Estimated delivery timelines for new orders now extend to January-February 2026.

– Starting January 4th, Giga Berlin will enhance its free Giga Train service by introducing six direct daily trips from Berlin Ostbahnhof, stopping at Ostkreuz, to Erkner Station at the factory complex to match employee shift changes for a 35-minute commute and to promote public transport usage exceeding half of staff and reduce car dependency.

– The Model 3 was awarded the best passenger car of 2025 in the DRIVEN Car Guide AA Insurance New Zealand Car of the Year.

– The UK chancellor Rachel Reeves introduced a pay-per-mile tax for EVs and plug-in hybrids starting April 2028. The UK pay-per-mile tax applies uniformly to Teslas, charging owners 3p per mile, with mileage verified through MOT tests or DVLA registration anniversaries and integrated into Vehicle Excise Duty. An average 8,500-mile annual driver equates to £255 yearly, while luxury models like exceeding £50,000 face an additional £15 annual VED hike to £440 starting April 2026.

– Tesla Japan launched a new experiential hub in central Tokyo at Yurakucho within Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan. A complementary special Tesla exhibition is also available at Takanawa Gateway City.

– Tesla China VP, Grace Tao Lin, stated that the company’s global production bases in the United States, China, and Europe apply identical strict and objective supplier selection standards based solely on quality, total cost, technical maturity, and long-term supply continuity, with no exclusion criteria tied to a supplier’s country or geographical origin. Domestic consumers access the world’s lowest prices for Model 3 and Y vehicles due to “Chinese Intelligent Manufacturing” at Giga Shanghai. They collaborate with over 400 mainland China supply chain partners for products serving millions in domestic, Asia-Pacific, and European markets. More than 60 of these partners have integrated into Tesla’s global procurement system, advancing broader international collaboration.

– First public FSD demo drives in Germany. Video by Kristian Kratochvil (@TheKikoKK).

– Per Elon, “Most people don’t know that Tesla has had an advanced AI chip and board engineering team for many years. That team has already designed and deployed several million AI chips in our cars and data centers. These chips are what enable Tesla to be the leader in real-world AI. The current version in cars is AI4, we are close to taping out AI5 and are starting work on AI6. Our goal is to bring a new AI chip design to volume production every 12 months. We expect to build chips at higher volumes ultimately than all other AI chips combined. Read that sentence again, as I’m not kidding. These chips will profoundly change the world in positive ways, saving millions of lives due to safer driving and providing advanced medical care to all people via Optimus…”

– Tesla sold 28,606 vehicles in Norway from January to November 2025, with November registrations at 6,215 marking a 34.6% year-to-date rise. The Model Y dominated sales, recovering from the early drop following its second-quarter upgrade.

THE BORING COMPANY:

– Per Elon, “One day, Prufrock will beat the snail.”

– Here is the Music City LOOP X Spaces with TBC CEO Steve Davis, Emmy & AP award-winning journalist Alex Denis (@AlexDenisTV), and Managing Director of Real Estate Investment for Southwest Value Partners Charles Robert Bone (@charlesrbone). Some highlights include:

  • The Boring Company is looking to get approval for a second Music City LOOP tunnel beneath Broadway and ultimately the Cumberland River. It will connect Nissan Stadium to I-440 with a total of 20+ stations.

  • Steve Davis stated that TBC can reduce tunnel construction costs to approximately $10 million per mile within 2–5 years, with a long-term target of $3–4 million per mile. In comparison, traditional tunneling projects currently range from $500 million to $3 billion per mile depending on diameter, depth, geology, and regulatory complexity.

  • Steve also stated they are hoping to connect Tennessee cities via hyperloop technology, starting with a Nashville-to-Knoxville link. He emphasized that hyperloop implementation, featuring vacuum-sealed tubes and magnetic levitation, would reduce travel to 10-15 minutes between cities. No discussions have occurred with Knoxville officials that I am aware of.

– Here are images from TBC’s November 20th Demo Day in Bastrop looking for and recruiting more talent as the project list grows. This is was 4.5 hours of engineering and production presentations that covered the technological roadmap for achieving cross-country Hyperloop tunnels and explored potential applications of Prufrock tunneling machines on Mars.

– The Boring Company conducted recurring emergency response training for the Vegas LOOP on November 24th in partnership with Clark County Fire Department. The exercise focused on maintaining the tunnel network’s safety standards through coordinated drills with local first responders. Per TBC Safety and Security Manager, Benjamin De Santiago, “Day 1 of CCFD drills complete. It’s always an amazing experience seeing our first responders in action as they navigate through emergency response scenarios in an innovative environment. Looking forward to the next one.”

– Prufrock-5 has left the Bastrop HQ and will begin tunneling by December 1st. “Hoping for a step function increase in speed.” Per Elon, “It’s a game-changer. Buildings are 3D, which requires transport to be 3D to solve congestion. Many layers of tunnels underground to impedance match to the many floors of buildings above ground.”

– Shane Trucking crews have abandoned the Music City LOOP project after 123 days of unpaid six-figure invoices, shifted payment terms from 15 to 60 days, and an attempt to poach welders at $45/hour. Workers cited ignored OSHA complaints over missing hard hats and improper wooden shoring in deep excavations.

TBC Vice President David Buss acknowledged invoicing errors caused delayed payments to Shane Trucking, promised all outstanding invoices would be wired by Wednesday end, and committed to a full audit. Buss clarified missed payments are not routine practice but occur occasionally in normal business, denied any policy of poaching contractors, and pledged to investigate Shane’s hiring claims. On OSHA safety complaints, Buss stated Shane raised none during their Tuesday call, he was unaware of formal filings, but emphasized safety is “existential” to the company, citing only one non-fault construction injury in seven years of Las Vegas tunneling.

NEURALINK:

– NP1, Noland Arbaugh (@ModdedQuad) held an X Spaces discussing his life and progress with “Eve,” his Neuralink chip.

– It appears Noland will be receiving a second Telepathy implant positioned below his spinal cord injury site to wirelessly relay brain signals to muscles, enabling potential restoration of leg movement and fulfilling Elon’s vision for dual-device systems. Elon indicated in October that Noland could be the inaugural recipient of this upgrade to augment mobility.

Per Noland, “I can’t overstate how fired up I am about the Neuralink dual implant. One in the brain, one below the injury, finally working together. The potential is unreal. Yeah… I’m amped.”

As of today, no confirmed surgery timeline or details exist that I am aware of.

– For the first time, NP6 Rob Greiner (@greiner_ro52817) has played a first person shooter while using his Link interfacing with the quad stick controller! “It’s kind of freaky stuff and people right now would definitely show me up on any video games especially at the moment it’s like I’m a toddler learning how to walk while I play lol crazy thing is I’m a super country dude redneck from Idaho and this is all just freaky to me.”

– Neuralink’s Clinical Trial Lead, Romina Nejad (@RominaNejad) has left the company… Per Romina, “It’s been an absolute privilege to spend the past four years working alongside brilliant people on a mission this important. I’ll be cheering you all on as you continue changing what’s possible for humanity.” This was highly unexpected for me. She will always have my support and good luck on your next venture.

■ STARLINK:

– SpaceX has opened their first Starlink store! This one is in in Gretna, Nebraska. Pic is by Parker (@TeslaEnthusist). Per Parker, “Inside was a great lineup of products, along with merch!

– Starlink is free to new and existing customers impacted by severe flooding in Indonesia and Sri Lanka following Cyclone Ditwah through December 31st. SpaceX has collaborated with the Indonesian government to deploy terminals rapidly in Sumatra’s hardest-hit areas and with the Sri Lankan government to provide additional connectivity assistance. Per Elon, “SpaceX standard policy is to make Starlink free whenever there is a natural disaster somewhere in the world. It would not be right to profit from misfortune.

– VEON announced that Kyivstar has officially deploy Starlink Direct to Cell for Ukrainian customers. It is initially supporting SMS and will expand to voice and data capabilities. Per SpaceX President & COO, Gwynne Shotwell (@Gwynne_Shotwell), “Today marks an incredible milestone as Ukraine becomes the first European country to make Starlink Direct to Cell available to customers! The satellite-to-mobile service is powering life-saving connectivity when and where people need it most – during prolonged blackouts or in areas where terrestrial networks are often damaged. Looking forward to connecting more people in Europe with our next-generation capabilities!

– The Ministry of Education in The Bahamas partnered with SpaceX to launch the Starlink Installation Initiative on November 18th. The goal is to install Starlink in public schools nationwide and deliver reliable high-speed access for students and educators.

– SpaceX has list Starlink hardware on Amazon for the first time, making it available across the U.S. as an authorized retailer, with activation required at starlink.com/activate.

– Elon and the xAI Memphis Team at Colossus 2 over Thanksgiving, underscoring the hands-on intensity and driving the goal of advancing their capabilities as industry leaders. Per Colossus Lead, Brent Mayo (@BrentM_SpaceX), “12 (Midnight) at Macrohard on a holiday weekend. This xAI Memphis team is the best.”

Brent also gave a shout-out to his Memphis team on Thanksgiving Day saying, “Super thankful for the bada$$ teams that show up to keep Grok operational each and everyday. These select few hardcore engineers and technicians that are here today are a major part of the reason xAI is successful. Day in and day out, these individuals show why they are the most hardcore team in existence! Proud to be a small part of the team gaining a deeper understanding of the universe every second of everyday!

– Per Elon, “Grokipedia.com is open source and free to be used by anyone with no royalty or even acknowledgement required. We just ask that any mistakes be corrected, so that it becomes more objectively accurate over time.”

■ ELON NEWS:

– Elon had a sit down conversation with Nikhil Kamath (@nikhilkamathcio), an investor and entrepreneur deeply engaged in India’s tech ecosystem, and host of the WTF podcast. Here are some of Elon’s quotes.

  • I think there’s increasingly a convergence between SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI, in that if the future is solar powered AI satellites, which is pretty much needs to be in order to harness a non-trivial amount of the sun you have to move to AI powered satellites in space…

  • I don’t really buy stocks. I don’t look for things to invest in. I just try to build things and then there happens to be stock of the company that I built, but I don’t have like a portfolio or anything; Google is gonna be pretty valuable in the future. They’ve laid the ground work for an immense amount of value creation from an AI standpoint. Nvidia is obvious at this point. There’s an argument that companies that do AI and robotics, and maybe spaceflight, are going to be overwhelmingly almost all of the value…”

  • So long as civilization keeps advancing, we will have AI and robotics at very large scale. That’s the only thing that’s gonna solve for the US debt crisis; In 3 years or less, my guess is goods and services growth will exceed money supply growth...”

  • You know, I’ve generally found that when I get involved in politics, it ends up badly… So then I’m like, you know, ‘probably shouldn’t do that.’ ‘I should do less of that’ is my conclusion; Politics is a blood sport. It’s like, you enter politics, they’re gonna go for the jugular. Best to avoid politics where possible.”
