■ SPACEX:
– Last night SpaceX moved Super Heavy Booster 18, the first V3, to Massey’s for testing. If you remember, I reported on November 5th that VP of Launch, Kiko Dontchev (@TurkeyBeaver) at the 3rd Annual Space Economy Summit at UCF Orlando stated they would be testing B18 in the coming weeks. Looks like he was true to his word. Pics by Carlos (@cnunezimages) and Starship Gazer (@StarshipGazer).

■ THE BORING COMPANY:
– TBC dropped some new images of the TBM sent from Bastrop HQ to Nashville. They have also named Prufrock-MB1. Plus, there is Prufrock-MB2 that ships in January!
– Seth Ford (@Drone615net) got word that the Hardrock TBM has started to arrive, so drove to the dig site and took to the air. You can see that TBC has already started to assemble the machine in the pit. Things are about to get a lot Boring!
– Today’s NAIOP Nashville, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, held a membership meeting where The Boring Company outlined its transportation vision for the area. They presented a forward-thinking solution that promises improved connectivity between Nashville’s key destinations while alleviating surface-level congestion. NAIOP is a North American trade organization representing developers, owners, investors, and professionals in office, industrial, retail, and mixed-use real estate. It advocates for effective public policy, provides industry research, education, networking events, and chapter-based programs—including the Nashville chapter—to advance commercial real estate development and investment. Not sure who the TBC presenter was.
– Jonathan Dyke, adjunct professor at Vanderbilt University, hosted TBC’s Project Development Lead, Isaac Aronson, and Vanderbilt student/TBC Intern, Thomas Cleary, to his Hoogland Undergraduate Business Program class to discuss TBC’s Music City LOOP project. Initially skeptical due to recent media coverage, Dyke became convinced by their presentation of a thoughtful plan modeled on the Vegas LOOP using low-cost, low-environmental-impact drilling to address Nashville’s traffic congestion. The discussion emphasized safety in tunnel construction and operations, with data-backed responses.
– Democrat State Congresswoman Dina Titus, representing Nevada’s 1st District (Las Vegas), has challenged Nevada’s withdrawal of $400,000 in OSHA safety fines against TBC. Titus demanded explanations from Gov. Joe Lombardo and the company.
■ NEURALINK:
– Peter Diamandis (@PeterDiamandis) posted that Elon thinks we’re about 20 years from uploading a human mind into a robot. Elon replied, “Probably closer to 10 years, but it may not feel quite the same being “in” a robot body, given that it would not have all the chemistry of a human. That said, I guess there is also a chance it could feel better or that one could simulate the electrical signals of a human body if you want. In addition to helping a lot of people who are suffering from brain/spine/sensory disabilities and pain, the civilizational goal of Neuralink is to enhance human bandwidth and cognitive abilities, in order to increase the probability that artificial intelligence will be aligned with humanity. If humans have the bandwidth of a potted plant, AI may just get bored and ignore us as we do the plant.”
– Per Neuralink’s Technology Manager, Andy Broyles (@Andy__Broyles), “It’s underestimated and under appreciated to work at a place that allows you to do what you NEED to do to be successful vs working at a place that “lets you do whatever you want.” Success is the aligned vector. Even if that vector changes at a moments notice.“
– NP1 Noland Arbaugh (@ModdedQuad):
“There was a time when I stayed up all night and slept all day because there wasn’t anything worth waking up for.
No plans. No goals. No purpose.
Then I got my Neuralink implant and everything shifted.
I started going to bed early. I woke up excited for the day ahead. And just like that, I had found purpose again.
Since then: • I’m back in school • I’ve launched a business • I’m traveling • I’m speaking on global stages.
Neuralink didn’t just change what I can do. It changed what I believe I’m capable of.
It gave me hope. It gave me purpose. And for the first time in a long time, I’m excited for what’s next.”
– Per Neuralink Recruiting Lead Carmen Sáenz (@carm_saenz), “We actually hire very few neuroscience majors… I typically suggest going with an Eng degree + neuroscience minor.”
■ STARLINK:
– Qatar Airways has now equipped Starlink on over 100 widebody aircraft, including its full Boeing 777 fleet and Airbus A350 models establishing it as the operator of the largest such fleet globally and the only carrier in the MENA region currently offering this service.
■ 𝕏:
– Tim O’Mahony (@timomahony), speaking at the SportsPro Media Summit in Madrid, highlighted X’s dominance in sports engagement with 3.94 trillion global impressions in sports conversations over the past year. He noted that 4 in 5 sessions now feature video, up 38% year-over-year, driven by Amplify pre-roll advertising as the top monetization tool for rights holders and brands.
– X’s Fabio Seidl (@SeidlFabio) attended Conecta Digital in Madrid, where he engaged in discussions on creativity, fandom, and AI with industry professionals, expressing gratitude to organizer GGONARD and the Conecta Fiction team for the event.
■ xAI:
– Artificial Analysis announced xAI’s release of Grok 4.1 Fast leads in agentic performance with 93.3% on the τ²-Bench Telecom Leaderboard, surpassing Kimi K2 Thinking and improving 27 points over Grok 4 Fast. Grok 4.1 Fast trails Grok 4 by 1 point on the Intelligence Index while costing approximately 30 times less per token, positioning it in the optimal quadrant for intelligence-to-cost efficiency.
– xAI launched the Agent Tools API alongside Grok 4.1 Fast for autonomous agents with parallel tool invocation. The API provides a new agentic tool-calling model optimized for real-world applications like customer support and deep research. It features a 2 million token context window, support for web browsing, X post searches, code execution, and parallel tool invocation via xAI’s Agent Tools API. The model trained through long-term reinforcement learning across multiple domains. Pricing is $0.20 per million input tokens ($0.05 cached), $0.50 per million output tokens, and $5 per 1,000 successful tool calls.
– OpenRouter (@OpenRouterAI) announced that xAI’s previously teased Sherlock Stealth models are Grok 4.1 Fast and they have it for free exclusively for the next two weeks with standard xAI API pricing at $0.20 per million input tokens and $0.5 per million output tokens thereafter.
– xAI is working in custom length Imagine videos on web, upwards to 15 seconds. Lengths include: 6s, 10s, 12s, and 15s. H/T @blankspeaker.
■ ELON NEWS:
– Per former xAI Lead Chris Bakke (@ChrisJBakke), “When I reported to Elon, we would have X product meetings at 5 or 6 p.m. (because he was with the Tesla team for 10 hours before that), then my 1:1 check-in would be at 10 p.m., but that would regularly get moved to 11 p.m. or midnight or 1 a.m. Usually around 2am, he’d go take a nap for a couple hours in the office and then repeat the same schedule again the next day with a different set of companies, 7 days a week.”
