■ THE BORING COMPANY:
– Michel (@Mic_VegasSphere) has another Vegas LOOP update! He hit the Vegas loop Paradise Station and Apartments across from the Virgin north parking lot. “Not a lot new here but they just got County approval for the building a few weeks ago.”
■ NEURALINK:
– NP3 Brad Smith (@ALScyborg) dropped new episode of Future Link. It’s myth debunking time! Subscribe to Brad and support him and his family. Watch here.
– Per Neuralink Infrastructure Engineer, Joe Smith (@Yasumoto), “Neuralink’s IT Systems Engineering team builds the MDM to support our global clinical trials! We provision and maintain the fleet that our participants use during each of our clinical trials. The compliance, privacy, and UX requirements are unreal. So fun to see it in action. It was wild to see Noland (@ModdedQuad) break the world record on a laptop we configured.”
■ STARLINK:
– According to India’s Department of Telecommunications, cited by NDTV Profit, SpaceX plans to establish 20 Starlink Gateways across Noida, Chennai, and Navi Mumbai.
■ 𝕏:
– X’s Marketing SEA team participated in a Shopify event in Singapore on yesterday, focusing on AI applications in e-commerce. Highlights included how Grok enables smarter, personalized ads on X, generating draft copy, images, and headlines from a website URL via the “Prefill with Grok” tool, while analyzing campaign performance for full-funnel brand success.
– Per Elon, “The algorithm will be purely AI by November, with significant progress along the way. We will open source the algorithm every two weeks or so. By November or certainly December, you will be able to adjust your feed dynamically just by asking Grok.”
– Per X’s Nikita Bier (@nikitabier) on the recommendation algo, “The goal for your X timeline is to get out of the mainstream algo and the political crusades and find your niche. You should be able to post about your interests and have friendly, relevant people chime in. If you’re seeing gas station fight videos, your account is not ramped up yet. We are working everyday to fix this.”
– X Global Governmental Affairs exposed a bribery network where suspended accounts running crypto scams and platform manipulation paid middlemen to bribe employees for account reinstatements. Perpetrators, linked to cybercriminal group “The Com” involved in scams, SIM-swapping, and ransomware, exploit platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Minecraft, and Roblox. X suspended involved accounts, launched legal proceedings against participants, and is cooperating with law enforcement to safeguard platform integrity.
– The X Monetization page was down for about 4 hours today.
■ xAI:
– xAI raised $10 billion at a $200 billion post-money valuation, per CNBC sources. The funding aims to expand xAI’s AI infrastructure through data centers. The $200 billion valuation positions xAI among top global firms, behind OpenAI, ByteDance, and SpaceX. xAI nor Elon have confirmed this.
– xAI Technical Team Member, Heinrich Kuttler (@HeinrichKuttler), noted hard work gets rewarded at his company and posted the above pic. A hologram video of Ani in the xAI Palo Alto lobby.
– Grok has 64 million monthly users.
– Tech Dev Notes (@techdevnotes) has found that xAI will soon introduce Spreadsheets to Grok.
– xAI has updated Grok Web’s project sharing. Users can now directly view projects shared to their account via email permission, without needing a share link. The projects icon has also been updated to a folder icon. H/T @blankspeaker.
■ ELON NEWS:
– Ben Stiller (@BenStiller) made a post saying, “This isn’t right” on Disney’s ABC dropping Jimmy Kimmel (@jimmykimmel) indefinitely. Kimmel said “many in MAGA land are working very hard to capitalize on the murder of Charlie Kirk.”
Elon replied back to Be saying, “He went full retard. Never go full retard.” LAMO! If you do not know this quote Elon used, watch Ben Stiller’s Tropic Thunder.
