THE BORING COMPANY:

Yesterday, Nashville’s Vice Mayor Angie Henderson said The Boring Company’s Music City Loop will not help alleviate traffic congestion and says people should just ride the bus… So, 8 to 9 minutes using a Tesla in the Tunnel, or a 30 minute bus ride?

– Shaun Maguire (@shaunmmaguire), Partner at Sequoia Capital, stated on a SpaceX scale of “Falcon 1, F9, F9 reusable, Starship”, TBC employees ranked “continunous mining w/ zero-people in tunnel” as hard as the Falcon 9. Elon replied, “Exceptionally hard engineering problem. Also, this will be used to make Hyperloop a reality in the future.”

– Paradise Transportation, a subsidiary of The Boring Company, appears to be making plans to operate Teslas as taxis to and from Harry Reid International Airport and possibly throughout the Las Vegas tourism area. My understanding is that the Vegas LOOP will not go directly to the Harry Reid International. The tunnel exits near the airport at Paradise Rd will be where the Tesla finish the ride above ground.

This is where the Taxi service comes into play. Paradise Transportation must secure an on-site staging area agreement to drop off customers. A Nevada Transportation Authority (NTA) draft order from last month indicates likely approval for this service. The decision is expected at the October 10th meeting.

– TBC’s Lead Architect, Stephen Skilbred, has left the company to become Director of System Planning at Glydways, a “high-capacity, on-demand, and affordable mobility urban transit services.”

NEURALINK:

– Neuralink patient No.7, Jake Schneider (@PairedWith_P7), shared a heartfelt perspective in an interview with Ellie in Space (@esherifftv). After three months with a Neuralink brain implant, he describes it as a transformative “gift from God” that has not only restored hope but also significantly enhanced his quality of life. A full interview is upcoming, promising deeper insights into this inspiring story.

■ STARLINK:

– Textron Aviation has received FAA certification to offer Starlink for its Cessna Citation Latitude aircraft. The upgrade is available at Textron’s North American and International Service Centers and includes an aviation kit with an antenna, power supply, wireless access point, and harnessing, requiring only aircraft power input for installation.

■ 𝕏:

– X participated alongside global attendees at the International Symposium on Cybercrime Response (ISCR) 2025, hosted by the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA). The theme “Trust in Cyberspace: Safety for All.” X presented its comprehensive policy framework on synthetic media and highlighted the effectiveness of Community Notes in providing real-time context.

– Per X’s Director & Global Lead of Developer Platform Chris Park (@chrisparkX), “The path to AGI is very simple for us at xAI: great ppl, lots of compute, many good models sir, and one IT system! IFYKYK!” Per Elon, “One IT system ftw” FYI IK.

– Per Elon, “XMoney is working internally and will start extending to outside beta users soon.”

– Jawad Khan (@jawadweb), X’s Agency Lead for EU Growth Markets, was at the X Agency Roadshow in Madrid. They event was focused on rebuilding advertiser trust. “Hitting the road to meet agencies across Europe, bringing advertisers back to 𝕏, and rebuilding trust has been my favorite part of my journey at 𝕏. It’s shown me that success isn’t just about numbers, it’s about relationships, resilience, and solving real problems.”

– X’s VP of Europe and Africa Sales Gregory Owens (@GregJeffOwens) and X Director for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH) Jolanta Baboulidis (@jolanta) at DMEXCO in Cologne with some of their DACH team. They met with clients, agencies, and partners to explore X’s advancements in digital marketing via real-time relevance and Grok.

– Muaaz (@mws), a content creator and YouTuber specializing in educational content and guides for aspiring content creators and streamers, got invited to the X offices. “They’re working on hella cool stuff for Content Creators right now. YouTubers, Streamers, TikTokers, etc. Stay tuned.”

■ xAI:

– The EDGE Memphis board has approved the CTC Property LLC, an xAI affiliate, sublease of the 552 acres of Memphis and Shelby County Port Commission property to Seven States Power Corp. for the 100MW solar farm. According to Seven States CEO Betsey McCall, there will be a 100MW Tesla Megapack site as well. It is expected to be completed by 2028.

CTC remains the primary tenant, responsible for payments on a 34-year lease. Seven States will maintain the site, pay rent to CTC, and have an option to purchase the land if CTC does not. CTC will also build a paved road to the site.

The project is funded by a $439 million USDA Empowering Rural America program award and requires USDA environmental clearance. The original 21-year lease, approved in October 2024, includes no rent for the first year, then $1,654,961 annually with 2.5% increases, and an option for CTC to buy the property for $23,642,293 in 2045.

– Grok Code Fast 1 is still No.1 on OpenRouter. Per Elon, “Great work by Grok Code team! This is just a beta release. It is improving almost every day. Many major upgrades & fixes to Grok Code coming out next week, including 1M context window.”

– xAI’s Yunlong Liu (@LiuYunlong63318), stated xAI is enhancing JAX to function more like C++. I assume to improve JAX’s flexibility and performance closer to low-level programming capabilities but maintaining its high-performance numerical computing strengths. For context, JAX is an open-source Python library developed by Google. It provides tools for automatic differentiation, enabling efficient gradient-based optimization, and supports accelerated computation on hardware like GPUs and TPUs through XLA (Accelerated Linear Algebra). JAX allows users to write Python code that resembles NumPy but with enhanced capabilities for vectorization, parallelization, and just-in-time (JIT) compilation.

■ ELON NEWS:

– Per xAI’s Eric Jiang (@veggie_eric), “Why is pizza in the Bay Area such absolute trash. Like wtf! We nerds can cook up a recipe for a gajillion-parameter model, no problemo, but can’t figure out a mildly appetizing ratio for some flour, water, and cheese…”

Elon replied, “Wood-fired pizza oven coming to xAI.”

Tesla’s Dhaval Shroff (@dhaval_shroff) asked, “Can Tesla folks walk over across the street and get some too?

Elon replied, “💯, we should install one at Tesla Engineering HQ.”
