– Tesla China initiated an over-the-air update version 2025.32.300 for the Model Y L, introducing Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability that allows the vehicle’s battery to supply power to external devices via an upcoming official adapter, transforming it into a portable power station for items like laptops, camping gear, or household appliances during outages. This marks the first V2L implementation for a non-Performance Tesla variant, following support in the Cybertruck and refreshed Model Y Performance.

SPACEX:

– This evevning, launch 144 of Falcon 9 Starlink 11-23 took place from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. This is the 29th flight for first stage booster B1063. It previously launched Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, DART, Transporter-7, Iridium OneWeb, SDA-0B, NROL-113, NROL-167, NROL-149, NAOS, and 19 Starlink missions. The booster landed on drone ship Of Course I Still Love You in the Pacific Ocean. 28 Starlinks were deployed.

– “Moonbase Alpha!“ by Elon.

– SpaceX is tired of former NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine and his lobbying firm called the Artemis Group (represents a host of aerospace companies vying for NASA business). He continues to push narratives that undermine Starship. But here it the truth. In April 2021, NASA chose Starship for Artemis III at $2.89 billion—lowest price versus Blue Origin’s $5.99 billion and Dynetics’ $9.08 billion—with top technical rating and lowest risk under FAR part 35. This was upheld against GAO protests in July 2021 and Blue Origin’s dismissed lawsuit due to waived objections and funding limits.

Jim and the Artemis Group has generated $2.105 million in 2025 income for clients like United Launch Alliance (ULA), Voyager Space, and Redwire. Bridenstine and Charlie Bolden criticized Starship this month as unviable before China’s 2030 lunar goal due to 11+ refuelings, urging Defense Production Act redirection to alternatives. SpaceX calls this lobbyist-driven push for billions more funding to delayed, overbudget rivals misguided, touting Starship’s simplified architecture. As stated yesterday, SpaceX has 49 on-schedule milestones, and path to sustainable lunar access.

SpaceX does credit Jim for launching the Artemis Program, awarding Human Landing System contracts to SpaceX, and appointing Kathy Lueders to oversee exploration. Kathy rocks!

– Sparks are flying. Demolition of the Pad 1’s Orbital Launch Mount has officially begun. Pic by Jordan Guidry (@Jordanguidry6) for What about it!? (@FelixSchlang).

– Two SpaceX Purdue alumni, Director of Spaceport Operations Trip Harriss (@SpaceXTrip), and VP of Falcon and Dragon Jon Edwards (@edwards345), participated in a fireside chat with EAPS assistant professor Cauê Borlina, offering advice on engineering practices, securing internships, and achieving success in the aerospace sector. The event was co-hosted by Purdue’s AAE and Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences departments.

– The UC San Diego Career Center hosted a SpaceX delegation—including Isabelle Lee, Nik Butler (@NikolaiButler), Jeremy N., Jose Gomez (@jfgm), Chris Reusch, Conor Sefkow (@cjsefkow), Nicholas Ang, Steven Czerwinski, Brinson Chapp (@bchapp23), and Grant Poggenpohl for a lunchtime presentation and tours of engineering student organizations: Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS), Rocket Propulsion Laboratory (RPL), Society of Civil and Structural Engineers (SCSE), and Triton Racing (Formula SAE). The delegation examined student projects and discussed technical innovations with team members.

– Views from a Dragon… Levi Michelson, Recruiter at SpaceX, posted the above video with announced openings for the Dragon program to support missions sending humans and cargo orbitally. Available positions include Structures Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer (Dragon Structures), Build Engineer (Fluid Systems, Dragon), and Test Engineer (Dragon Spacecraft).

– A Spanish delegation visited SpaceX in Florida to observe the live launch of Hisdesat Servicios Estratégicos S.A.’s SpainSat NG II on October 24th, gaining a close-up view of the Falcon 9. This included the Ministry of Defence authorities, officials from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the Ministry of Industry, institutional representatives, executives from project-collaborating companies, and accompanying friends for joining the event.

The Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich (launched November 2020) and Sentinel-6B make up the Sentinel-6 mission, also known as Jason Continuity of Service (Jason-CS), which is a partnership between NASA, NOAA, ESA, and EUMETSAT. This mission continues the long-term global sea surface height data record begun by first Jason satellites in 1992.

– Starlink’ is now available in the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas).

– Golden Galapagos by GET installed a Starlink antenna at Ignacio Hernández School on San Cristóbal Island, providing high-speed internet access to over 500 students. This initiative forms part of the company’s ongoing Connections Program, developed in partnership with SpaceX Starlink, to deliver reliable satellite connectivity to communities in the Galapagos Islands and Amazon Rainforest, thereby enhancing educational opportunities and global knowledge access.

– Pro-Drill (Auckland) integrates Starlink to provide high-speed, low-latency internet access for field teams operating drill rigs in remote New Zealand locations. “This technology has transformed how we work in isolated environments, allowing real-time data transmission, live project updates, and seamless communication between our site crews, engineers, and clients. It enables remote monitoring, cloud-based reporting, and virtual collaboration — reducing downtime, improving decision-making, and enhancing overall site safety.”

– X hosted its inaugural West Coast Client Council last night, in partnership with Disney, gathering valued partners for an exclusive overview of the platform’s accelerated growth metrics, upgraded AI intelligence features, and novel brand engagement tools designed to enhance visibility directly on the timeline.

– X Global Government Affairs announced that Denmark’s Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard stated on Thursday the EU Council Presidency’s abandonment of mandatory detection orders in the Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) proposal, a significant setback for mass surveillance proponents amid resistance from EU Member States and stakeholders. Denmark now supports only voluntary CSAM detection, eliminating requirements for platforms to implement encryption-breaching technologies. X hailed the outcome, crediting opposition leadership from Poland, Italy, and other nations against EU-wide mass surveillance, and pledged ongoing oversight to block any government-mandated user monitoring.
