– Per Elon, “While I have great fondness for NASA, they will constitute less than 5% of our revenue next year. Commercial Starlink is by far our largest contributor to revenue. Some people have claimed that SpaceX gets “subsidized” by NASA. This is absolutely false. The SpaceX team won the NASA contracts because we offered the best product at the lowest price. BOTH best product AND lowest cost. With regard to astronaut transport, SpaceX is currently the only option that passes NASA safety standards.”

THE BORING COMPANY:

– I was able to get some clarification from TBC on what exactly UNLV is doing. The Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents approval was for the easement, not a station. So, TBC is approved to tunnel beneath their property via the easement. UNLV has the option to add a station in the future.

NEURALINK:

– Ellie in Space (@Ellieinspace) interviews NP7 Jake Schneider (@PairedWith_P7)! Watch HERE!

■ STARLINK:

– SpaceX VP of Starlink Business Operations, Lauren Dreyer (@LaurenDreyer), is urging support for Starlink in Namibia, by asking people to email [email protected] before December 12th to back Government Gazette 8795 Notice 897. This details the telecommunications service license and spectrum license applications submitted by Starlink Internet Services Namibia. Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Botswana have waived local ownership rules for satellite services. Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus (@EmmaTheofelus), can grant similar exemptions. SpaceX has formed a local company, applied for licenses, and is ready to pay fees to deliver the service. Pic is of Emma Theofelus and Elon at the New York City X Offices a year ago.

– SpaceX has not officially set Starlink prices for India. What was posted on the website was by mistake and taken down.

– David Goldman (@davesgoldman), SpaceX’s Vice President of Satellite Policy, was at the D2D Policy Americas event today in Washington, D.C., highlighting Starlink’s advancements in direct-to-device connectivity for mobile devices globally, particularly in emergency scenarios like Hurricane Melissa where it connected hundreds of thousands of devices after network failures. The one-day forum gathered over 200 stakeholders including regulators from NTIA, FCC, ANATEL, and Ofcom.

■ 𝕏:

Elon, X, and the EC/EU:

  • Per Elon, “The European Commission offered X an illegal secret deal: if we quietly censored speech without telling anyone, they would not fine us. The other platforms accepted that deal. X did not.”

  • Elon on the Blue Checkmark, “The goal was to democratize verification, rather than have it be controlled by a group of biased elites!”

  • “The “EU” imposed this crazy fine not just on X, but also on me personally, which is even more insane! Therefore, it would seem appropriate to apply our response not just to the EU, but also to the individuals who took this action against me.”

  • The European Commission offered X an illegal secret deal: if we quietly censored speech without telling anyone, they would not fine us. The other platforms accepted that deal. X did not.”

  • X terminated the European Commission’s advertising account on December 7th. The EU had promoted the €120 million fine imposed on X with an ad on X by exploiting a system vulnerability, disguising a link as a video to boost reach via autoplay features. Per X Head of Product, Nikita Bier (

    @nikitabier

), “The irony of your announcement: You logged into your dormant ad account to take advantage of an exploit in our Ad Composer — to post a link that deceives users into thinking it’s a video and to artificially increase its reach. As you may be aware, X believes everyone should have an equal voice on our platform. However, it seems you believe that the rules should not apply to your account. Your ad account has been terminated.”

  • It is being stated that X has become the No.1 news source in the EU since the fine was announced.

  • “The EU woke Stasi commissars are about to understand the full meaning of the “Streisand Effect”.”

– X Japan CEO, Ayumu Matsuyama, and Team held an X Brand Summit. Ryan Takeshita, Project Executive Officer at TBS and head of TBS CROSS DIG with Bloomberg, participated as a speaker as well as New Picks Studio Director and Program Chief, Ayana Kizaki (@ayana_kizaki), was with Matsuyama at the X event. Per Ayana on Matsuyama, “He graciously and thoroughly addressed my questions about X’s services. The evolution of Grok is amazing! The future of the Everything App is exciting.

PR Times also interviewed Matsuyama where he detailed AI’s role in SNS-driven PR via Grok’s integration into X’s timeline and news, enabling zero-click brand influence through post-reaction learning. Link is in the sources section.

– X has implemented the under-16 social media ban for Australian users.

– X’s MENA Government Affairs Director, Reem Sadek (@ReemSadek), highlighted Day 1 of the BRIDGE Summit (@WMediaBridge) in Abu Dhabi, featuring 400+ speakers from 45 countries across media, tech, gaming, and creative tracks. The UAE-hosted event draws 60,000 attendees from 132 nations and 300 exhibitors. Per Reem, “A powerhouse lineup of speakers and innovators underscores the UAE’s role in advancing global media & creative industries. Thrilled to be part of this dynamic platform uniting visionaries, creators, policymakers, & tech pioneers.” Check out the X booth in Hall 8.

– X Premium users can access the X Handle Marketplace through the Premium Hub to search and view availability. Requesting and acquiring a new handle necessitates upgrading to Premium+ or Premium Business subscription.

■ xAI:

– Per Elon, “Grok 4.20 is coming out in 3 or 4 weeks…”

– xAI hosted their 24-hour hackathon on this weekend, in the San Francisco Bay Area. They gathered over 500 handpicked engineers to build AI applications using unreleased Grok models and X APIs. The event featured tracks like Grok Voice, Talent Sourcing, Grok Code, GrokiPedia Enhancement, and X API Integration. The first-place winners earned all-expense-paid trips to a SpaceX Starship launch! Per Elon, “Excellent xAI coding competition!”

Winners:

Per Krish (@krishgarg09), “I won the xAI hackathon by making ads for X Videos. Introducing Halftime; targeted ad generation using AI that feels like a part of your movies and shows.”

1st Place: Halftime – Dynamically weaves AI-generated ads into video scenes for seamless viewing. (@krishgarg09, @yuviecodes, @lohanipravin).

2nd Place: xCreator – Matches creators and brands using vector-embedded UGC on X. (@emm4x3, @angelafeliciawu, @stvnzhn)

Other Highlighted Projects:

– Nick Dwyer, Founder & Executive Director of Memphis Youth Athletics and Head Coach at Christian Brothers High School, announced that 23 MYA runners from Mitchell High School and The Collegiate School of Memphis completed the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend event, with all race entries fully covered by xAI. xAI also provided access to its hospitality suite for the students and families before and after the race.

Per Nick, “Thank you xAI for your support and partnership. Thank you St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for the event that brings our community together… and HOKA for supporting the athletes.”

– Per Elon, “We’re adding another feature to posting which is simply “Enhance” with Grok, which will suggest ways to make your posts smarter and more detailed and offer images and video illustrations.”

■ ELON NEWS:

– This is important to understand the interconnectedness of each company; SpaceX, Starlink, Tesla, xAI. Per Elon, “Satellites with localized AI compute, where just the results are beamed back from low-latency, sun-synchronous orbit, will be the lowest cost way to generate AI bitstreams in <3 years.

And by far the fastest way to scale within 4 years, because easy sources of electrical power are already hard to find on Earth. 1 megaton/year of satellites with 100kW per satellite yields 100GW of AI added per year with no operating or maintenance cost, connecting via high-bandwidth lasers to the Starlink constellation.

The level beyond that is constructing satellite factories on the Moon and using a mass driver (electromagnetic railgun) to accelerate AI satellites to lunar escape velocity without the need for rockets. That scales to >100TW/year of AI and enables non-trivial progress towards becoming a Kardashev II civilization.”

“Exawatts or you’re not really trying…”
