“Starship launches again next month…” – Elon Musk (@elonmusk)
■ TESLA ($321.20, -1.35%):
– Today, Megafactory Shanghai announced the production of their 1,000th Megapack. It is on its way to Europe! This was accomplished in under 6 months.
– Per Tesla VP Lars Moravy (@larsmoravy) speaking on the Tesla Roadster at X Takeover, “We spent a lot of time in the last few years rethinking what we did, and why we did it, and what would make an awesome and exciting last best driver’s car. We’ve been making it better and better, and it is even a little bit more than a car. We showed Elon some cool demos last week and tech we’ve been working on, and he got a little excited.”
Lars also stated the following on smaller pickup, “We always talked about making a smaller pickup. I think in the future, as more and more of the Robotaxi comes into the world, we look at those options and we think about, OK, that kind of service is useful not just for people, but also for goods. We’ve definitely been churning in the design studio about what we might do to serve that need for sure.”
– Melanie Richards, Supply Chain Strategy & Operations at Tesla and President of Women in Tesla, hosted Deirdre Hanford, CEO of Natcast and former Synopsys executive, for a fireside chat at Tesla as part of the Women in Tesla Leadership Series. The discussion covered Hanford’s vision for Natcast to strategically utilize funding from the CHIPS Act, including the $11 billion allocated for semiconductor R&D, to advance U.S. leadership in semiconductor design and manufacturing; the influence of hyperscale AI data centers’ rapid growth on semiconductor industry priorities; and strategies for aligning U.S. energy and semiconductor policies to maintain competitiveness in the AI race. More to come as the series continues.
– Tesla was on display at the exhibition of 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC2025) at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, China. It was under the theme “Global Solidarity in the AI Era.”

– Jovanni Salcfas, JP Morgan Chase Auto Events Marketing Analyst, partnered with Tesla to deliver an electric vehicle experience across three campuses from San Antonio to Plano in five days. They facilitated 580 ride-and-drive sessions and over 1,600 conversations, despite challenging heat. “Every second was worth it — welcoming employees, sparking excitement, and watching hundreds of people light up during their first test drive.”
■ SPACEX:
– Today’s sunrise at Starbase, Texas.
– Yesterday’s static fire abort of Crew-11’s Falcon 9 Booster B1094 was due to an error with the transporter erector’s cradle arm position indication, though the arm did functioned correctly. Once everything checked today, they performed the static fire.
– Yesterday, at the McGregor, Texas, Test Facility, NSF (@NASASpaceflight) spotted three beat-to-hell Raptor engines. They are either from the recovered Booster 13 engine section, or from Starship 36, which exploded at Masseys. Great catch NSF!

■ THE BORING COMPANY:
– It’s official! Yesterday at the recently opened Hilton BNA Nashville Airport Terminal, The Boring Company President Steve Davis with Tennessee Governor Bill Lee (@GovBillLee), United States Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy (@SecDuffy) and the Tennessee Department of Transportation announced the Music City Loop! This will be privately funded and 0 burden to taxpayers.
It is designed to connect downtown Nashville to the International Airport, reducing a 30 minute travel time to approximately 8 minutes. Construction is set to begin in Fall 2025, with the first segment expected to be operational by Spring 2026. Info Brochure from the event by the awesome Kemp Conrad (@kempsuper9).
TBC already has a hiring event schedule on Wednesday, the 30th of July, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. They are looking for engineers, operations coordinators, electricians, welders and mechanics. Those who attend will learn more about TBC, and meet the team. Application link in the SOURCES SECTION.
■ NEURALINK:
– Neuralink Patient No.9, Audrey Crews (@NeuraNova9) showing the world her ability to draw with only her mind. “Cant remember who requested these but i did my best. Enjoy. Id like to do a drawing live to show how it works. I need to be back home first.” That would very interesting to see.
■ STARLINK:
– According to PC Mag, T-Mobile’s T-Satellite, their Starlink Direct-to-Cell feature, is Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) testing. They were able to get a Samsung Galaxy S24 in dead zones near Southern California’s Big Tujunga Dam to automatically connect to T-Satellite, confirmed by a T-Mobile SpaceX logo, and use MMS. Images sent via the Messages app took up to two minutes, audio clips and GIFs downloaded in a car on a remote hill, and 5-second video clips took 10-20 minutes to send.
– Joel Cherkis, Director of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX, hosted the Starlink Account Management team’s mid-year offsite event in Redmond, Washington. “We have an amazing group and continue to grow.“
– Democratic U.S. Senator of New Hampshire, Maggie Hassan, has written Elon, urging him to address how Starlink is being exploited by transnational crime groups in Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos. The U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network says that the service is being used to scam Americans, with losses estimated in the billions. Each Starlink terminal is tied to a user account, allowing SpaceX to remotely deactivate specific kits for policy breaches. The link to the 4 page letter is in the SOURCES SECTION.
■ X:
– According to P4mui (@P4mui), X has started to merge the X Lite Android beta app with the regular app with the latest update. “With the latest update, the X team tests out the X Lite notifications system for the normal X Android app. X/Twitter for Android is being improved!“
■ xAI:
– xAI has launched “Grok Imagine,” an early beta image and video generation feature. It accessible via a waitlist only on iOS (of course). Elon says they are still working out the bugs, but from what I have seen, it looks great. Can’t wait to try it and the Companion Characters on Grok Android one day… xAI plans for a full launch in October.
Per Elon, “Grok Imagine is still early beta and is optimized for maximum fun, so should be evaluated as “fastest time to make a fun, shareable video”, rather than visual/auditory perfection. Our heavy duty video model will train on the 110k GB200s coming online next month.”
– This is the Duke Energy developed property in Southaven, Mississippi, that xAI will use to build their Nat Gas Power Plant on. Colossus 2 is 5 minutes away further north.
■ DOGE:
Estimated Savings: $199 Billion
Amount Saved Per Taxpayer: $1,236.02
■ ELON NEWS:
– Per Elon, “This false nomenclature of “researcher” and “engineer”, which is a thinly-masked way of describing a two-tier engineering system, is being deleted from xAI today. There are only engineers. Researcher is a relic term from academia.
SpaceX does more meaningful, cutting-edge “research” on the advancement of rockets and satellites than all the academic university labs on Earth combined. But we don’t use the pretentious, low-accountability term “researcher”. Engineer.
Engineers invent new technologies. Along the way, they may come up with new reality compression formulas, like Nikola Tesla.”
