TESLA $TSLA ($430.60, -2.05%):

– The Veterans Tesla Semi participated in the Reno Veterans Day parade. Such a great wrap!

– Andrej Karpathy’s (@karpathy), Tesla’s previous Director of AI, just got a new HW4 Model X on FSD v13 and he nothing but great things to say. It drove flawlessly in an hour-long test: highway centered like a Maglev pod; city streets handled tight lanes, construction, complex lefts, disordered stops, traffic merges, bus overtakes, and auto-parking with zero issues—vastly better than HW3. He credits scalable vision-only neural nets processing 60Hz video, long-context sensors, and Software 2.0 shifts per Ashok Elluswamy’s ICCV25 talk. “Huge congrats to the team – you’re building magic objects of the future, you rock! And I love my car!“ Full post HERE.

– Klarissa Garcia (@Klarissa24g), Senior Site Specialist for Community and Site Relations at Tesla’s Gulf Coast Lithium Refinery, and Team honored U.S. veterans on Veterans Day with a cake-cutting ceremony where a Marine Corps veteran sliced the first piece using his sword as a symbol of honor and tradition. The event celebrated the bravery, commitment, and sacrifice of veterans. “We’re deeply grateful to work alongside our Tesla Veterans, such dedicated individuals. It’s an honor to call you colleagues and friends.”

– The Veteran Wall at the Giga Texas Cell Factory and Armed Services Cybertruck. Per Ronald Lim, Tesla Sr Manager QA Engineering for Battery Cell Manufacturing, “A quiet hallway lined with photos, names, and stories of teammates who once served our country. Each portrait is a reminder: the same discipline, courage, and mission-focus that kept them safe in uniform now powers the cars we build and the future we’re accelerating toward. To every veteran at Tesla and beyond—thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and for continuing to lead by example. 🇺🇸” Per Michael Guevara, Tesla EOL Lead Technician, “Happy Veterans Day to all our beloved troops and to the fallen we thank you and cherish you forever!“ Pics by Ronald and Michael.

– Per Vladimir Zagorodnuk, Giga Nevada Mechanical Engineer, “As a veteran I deeply appreciate Tesla leadership for this very appropriate tribute. The Missing Man Table, sometimes referred to as the “Fallen Comrade Table,” is meant to remind viewers of those fallen, missing, or imprisoned during U.S. Military Service.”

– The Volkswagen ID.4 and ID. Buzz now have access to the North America Supercharger network starting November 18th using a $200 NACS-to-CCS adapter. There s a $100 rebate for 2025 original owners until July 15th, 2026. It will be standard in 2026 models, with software updates for select 2024-2025 IDs.

– Matija Dolinar, Managing Director at NGEN Austria/Germany, announced the delivery of a Megapack energy storage unit. Roman Bernard, Co-founder and CEO at Ngen Group, stated that NGEN’s innovations are advancing rapidly with the team operating at maximum capacity, materializing future technologies into present realities, and extended an invitation for connections to collaborate on forward-looking initiatives.

– Tesla has now started FSD testing in Korea.

– Zapmap awarded the Tesla Supercharger network first place in the ‘Large rapid/ultra-rapid network’ category for the second consecutive year, citing drivers’ praise for its reliability and competitive pricing, with the full league table available via their provided link.

– Giga Shanghai produced its 5 millionth battery pack today! The team gathered beside the milestone unit sourced from suppliers like CATL and LG Energy Solution. Per Tesla China Senior VP Tom Zhu (@tomzhu_nz) “Power up, team!

– Tesla posted the above video hinting at an imminent launch of operations in Colombia, specifically Bogota. This will be the second country in South America after Chile.

– Tesla China VP Grace Tao Lin posted the following on Giga Shanghai’s food. “I’ve recently been blissfully happy with the food at our factory again—my tray is simply overflowing! 😋 With several models selling well and customers eagerly awaiting their delivery, our factory team has been working at full capacity since the fourth quarter to ensure quality and timely delivery. Our logistics support has also launched “Food Power Regeneration”, providing nutritious and generous portions to ensure everyone can replenish their energy during busy work breaks and enjoy a fully charged experience…” Suddenly I am very hungry…

– Tesla India launched its first collision center in Mumbai’s Kalina area in partnership with the Gautam Modi Group, providing international-standard repair and maintenance services staffed by trained technicians to enhance after-sales support. The inauguration featured Gautam Modi as Managing Director, Nidhi Modi as Director of the group, and Tesla India officials, underscoring a mutual commitment and support.

THE BORING COMPANY: N/A… boring.

NEURALINK:

– Rocky Stoutenburgh, aka Rockynohands (@RockyNoHands), posted a quick clip from his visit to Neuralink. Him and Neuralink Engineer Zack Butler show us how the implant connects to the brain via tiny threads, each smaller than a human hair, inserted by a surgical robot to minimize trauma and accommodate natural brain movement. I asked Rocky when he was going to drop the full video of the visit and he replied, “Not sure but there’s a bunch of video.” Can’t wait!

– Per Danish Hussain (@astrodanish), Head of Surgery Mechanical Engineering at Neuralink, “Elon’s companies are the Schelling Point for people who dream bigger and work harder than society allows. An inevitable consequence is unrivaled camaraderie when we finally find other nerds as crazy as us!

■ STARLINK:

– Vodacom Group announced a partnership with SpaceX to integrate Starlink backhaul into its mobile network to businesses and expanding rural coverage across 25 African countries, targeting remote schools, health centers, and communities in sectors like mining, oil and gas, agriculture, tourism, retail, and financial services. The deal authorizes Vodacom to resell Starlink equipment and services to enterprise and small business customers through localized products, including pay-as-you-use backup internet, 100% unbreakable internet, device-as-a-service, and branch network pooling. On hand were SpaceX’s Chad Gibbs (@chadgibbs88), VP of Starlink Business Operations, and Ryan Goodnight (@ryangoodnight), Sr. Director, Market Access & Development. Per Chad, “By collaborating with Vodacom, Starlink can deliver reliable, high-speed connectivity to even more customers, transforming lives and communities across the continent.”

– Aaron Grider (@aarongrider), SpaceX Senior Software Engineer, oversaw the complete reimagination of the Speed test screen in the Starlink app during 2025, targeting one of its most frequently accessed and shared features. A major regression prompted the redesign, enabling the team to challenge existing assumptions, streamline user experience refinements, and apply a novel creative approach to performance data visualization. Here is his full presentation at the Expo on Orbit | App.js Conf 2025.

– Remote Area Risk International announced that a telemedicine project led by Kai Müller, an alumnus of their R/EMO:TE Medic Program, won first prize in the Pre-Hospital Care Faculty’s poster competition at the ‘Wider World of Pre Hospital Care’ Conference. The project developed affordable, reliable telemedicine solutions for Antarctica, transmitting full monitoring data and live ultrasound video from Butterfly Network’s handheld device to the UK via Starlink, with Dr. Hannah Evans accompanying Müller to Antarctica and Dr. Katharine Ganly receiving data in Scotland.

– In the U.S., SpaceX expanded its $0 rental offer to the standard Starlink dish via email for invite-only existing customers with active Residential service plans. This offer provides a complete Standard Kit—including terminal and Gen 3 router—valued at over $300 at no upfront hardware cost, bundled as a $0 monthly rental with the plan.

■ 𝕏:

– X android will have X Money on the profile for easier send/transfer of money. iOS will most likely have the same. H/T Swak (@swak_12).

– X Chat is now the default messenger on web.

– Per Elon, “By next month, Grok will literally look at and understand all ~100 million 𝕏 posts per day (including images and video), no matter how small the account, and recommend content to users based on the intrinsic quality of the content itself. This is only possible with advanced AI using a lot of GPUs and will massively improve the quality of everyone’s feed.”

– Per Elon, “Nikita deserves a lot of credit for fixing many things about 𝕏, but is not working on the algorithm. Blame for me problems with the algorithm – it still has a long way to go to be great. Transitioning from an inscrutable hairball of heuristics, which was the old Twitter algorithm, to a pure Grok-based AI recommendation system is being done by a team mostly from the xAI side that reports directly to me. Same with making advertising relevant to users, which basically didn’t exist in legacy Twitter. The engineering teams building 𝕏 Chat, which is encrypted and has audio/video calling and file transfer, and 𝕏 Money (launching to the public soon) also report to me, although I’ve recently asked Nikita to get involved as he finishes up other work.”

■ xAI:

– Per X’s Q (@QXsToo), “Visiting xAI’s Palo Alto office this week, the vibe summary here:

  • A swarm of brilliant twenty-somethings.

  • A core of battle-tested eng/product veterans.

  • Visions as grand as humanly imaginable.

  • Pulsing 24/7 war room energy.

  • “Hard, but we’ll figure it out” grit.”

■ ELON NEWS:

– Per Elon, “Time to make the mind of a sentient sun…”

– Elon was on the X Original Rushmore yesterday. He and Bobby Kotick (@BobbyKotick) join Ari and Ben to figure out what the 4 best video games of all time are. Watch HERE.

– Per Elon, “If democracy is the foundation of freedom, surely your position as leader of the EU should be elected directly by the people? The leader of the EU should be elected by the people of the EU, not appointed by a committee!

– Per Elon, “President Trump is right. We must distinguish clearly between companies that need to hire critical world-class talent from other countries vs companies that simply hire lower cost non-US employees to increase profits. SpaceX has succeeded *despite* not being unable to hire critical world-class talent from other countries due to ITAR laws. Had we been able to do so, our progress would have been faster. Tesla, which is not restricted by ITAR, progress has been greatly enhanced due to being able to hire world-class people from other countries, in addition to hiring every ace we can find in America.”

– The Trump administration is drafting an executive order to restrict proxy-advisory firms like ISS and Glass Lewis, including bans on their shareholder recommendations or advising paying clients. This follows Elon’s October criticism labeling them “corporate terrorists“ for opposing his $1 trillion, shareholder approved, pay package.

These institutions have influence on passive index funds controlling over half of public shares. Elon highlighted their lack of ownership and politically driven votes unrelated to investor interests, urging they register as investment advisers, while officials also eye rules forcing index-fund giants like BlackRock and Vanguard to mirror client votes on 30%+ stakes in major U.S. firms. This would be a major win for shareholders.
