■ SPACEX:

– The Department of the Air Force approved SpaceX’s plan to double Falcon launches at Vandenberg Space Force Base from 50 to 100 per year. This includes up to five Falcon Heavy launches, and to use Space Launch Complex 6 (SLC-6) alongside SLC-4. They say construction will start late 2025 or early 2026, but I’m pretty sure SpaceX has already started modifying SLC-6 for Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy, including two landing zones. Target operation date is early 2027. SLC-4 will support up to 70 Falcon 9 launches annually, while SLC-6 is projected for 25 Falcon 9 and five Falcon Heavy launches. This decision overrides the Left wing political fueled California Coastal Commission objections. They claimed it was regarding noise and environmental impacts, but they literally stated in meetings it was was because Elon supported Trump and posted on X. Either way, as I have stated before, the Air Force is federal, state and local agencies have no say so in the matter.

– SpaceX’s Cape launch facilities continue to progress. Launch Complex 39A continues to buildout the Starship Pad. The Falcon 9 landing zone at SLC-40 shows notable progress, with the landing zone outline now clearly visible. – The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is accepting public comments until October 20th on the draft Tiered Environmental Assessment (EA) for SpaceX’s proposed changes to Starship operations at Starbase. Comments can be submitted at www.regulations.gov under docket number FAA-2025-3124.

This is the second of two new-generation satellites built by Airbus to provide secure communications to the Spanish government, its allies, and various international organizations.

■ THE BORING COMPANY:

– Kremlin envoy, Kirill Dmitriev (@kadmitriev), CEO of Russia’s RDIF sovereign wealth fund, has proposed a 70-mile rail tunnel under the Bering Strait to connect Russia’s Chukotka region and Alaska. And he wants Elon and the The Boring Company to doit! It is estimated at $8 billion and fundable by Moscow and international partners, completable in under eight years, and slashing the typical $65 billion costs via its TBC tech. It is to be named the “Putin-Trump Tunnel” as a unity symbol, and follows a Putin-Trump phone call agreeing to Ukraine peace talks in Budapest. Per Dmitriev, “Elon, imagine connecting the US and Russia, the Americas and the Afro-Eurasia with the Putin-Trump Tunnel – a 70-mile link symbolizing unity. Traditional costs are $65B+, but The Boring Company’s tech could reduce it to <$8B. Let’s build a future together!“

No response from Elon yet.

– Michel (@Mic_VegasSphere) posted a new Vegas LOOP update: He the Paradise Road station site across from Virgin Hotel North’s parking lot (4300 Paradise Rd., Las Vegas). There are two newly arrived 20-foot white shipping containers with labeled contents. AvPac Insurance (@AirBroker) took the close up view of the container on Wednesday. Labels include “TUNNEL BELT EXTENDABLES 2” and “ACCELERANT & RETARDANT.”

At the Virgin Hotels Resort station site (4455 Paradise Rd., Las Vegas), he noted the arrival of new white metal boxes as well. Only one worker was on site, and this was the cleanest conditions he has seen during construction. There is a visible hole enclosed by concrete blocks for tunnel excavation.

■ NEURALINK:

– Neuralink has leased a 144,000-square-foot building in South San Francisco at 499 Forbes Boulevard, previously occupied by InterVenn Biosciences. xAI is supposedly scouting for a larger Bay Area office as well.

■ STARLINK:

– Ookla (@Speedtest) Research shows T-Mobile’s Starlink-powered T-Satellite direct-to-device service had 60.9% usage from T-Mobile customers on Experience Beyond or Go5G Next plans (free access), 34% from AT&T customers, 3% from FirstNet users, and 2.2% from Verizon users. Non-premium T-Mobile subscribers pay $10/month temporarily (rising to $15), while AT&T/Verizon rivals access it for $10 via added T-Mobile eSIM. Top usage areas per Speedtest data include national parks and forests:

California: Angeles National Forest, Cucamonga/Magic Mountain, Pleasant View Ridge Wilderness, Pacific Crest Trail.
Colorado: Rocky Mountains and Roosevelt National Forests.
Wyoming: Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.
Arizona: Grand Canyon National Park, Lake Mead Recreation Area, Mojave Desert (dead zones).

– Rogers Telecom of Canada extended its free Starlink Satellite trial in from October 31st to December 8th, with potential for further extensions. The trial provides text messaging in rural and remote areas like Northern Ontario, Atlantic Canada, and British Columbia, where cellular coverage is unavailable. Initially launched to offer emergency and basic communication, the program now covers three times more mobile coverage than other Canadian providers.

– X is upgrading its ads platform to prioritize “unregretted user minutes” by introducing sleeker ad formats that eliminate hashtags, emojis, and “distracting” URLs, while assigning each ad an aesthetic score to influence pricing and boost performance. AI-powered machine learning enhances targeting precision for ideal audiences, with Grok providing actionable campaign insights, rapid ad copy generation, and creatives. The “Explain this post” button, powered by Grok, will expand to ads for user verification of claims and brand details to build trust. Small and Medium Businesses gain simplified campaign tools, professional insights, and efficient targeting regardless of budget, from startups, small shops, and D2C brands.

– X’s Head of Product, Nikita Bier (@nikitabier), posted the above video for “X Links,” signaling the platform’s removal of algorithmic deprioritization for posts containing external links. Thank Christ!

– Per Elon, “The 𝕏 recommendation system is evolving very rapidly. We are aiming for deletion of all heuristics within 4 to 6 weeks. Grok will literally read every post and watch every video (100M+ per day) to match users with content they’re most likely to find interesting. This should address the new user or small account problem, where you post something great, but nobody sees it. We will also be adding the ability for you to adjust your feed temporarily or permanently just by asking Grok.”

– X is updating the Creator Hub for users in revenue sharing or subscriptions programs. There was an early access version available, but now. It is to replace the current settings-based version soon. – New York passed S4505 on June 25th requiring social media platforms with addictive features (algorithmic feeds, autoplay, infinite scroll, likes, push notifications) to show state-designed mental health warning labels to all users upon access, citing risks like anxiety, depression, and sleep issues in youth per peer-reviewed studies. It mirrors California’s AB 56, signed October 13th mandating daily black box warnings from the Surgeon General for users under 18: “Social media may benefit some young users but is linked to mental health harms and unproven safety,” displayed post-3 hours use, hourly thereafter for 30+ seconds covering 75% screen.

X calls this compelled speech violating First Amendment, requiring user surveillance, eroding free speech despite lawmakers’ constitutional oaths, and wasting funds on lawsuits. X urges Governor Kathy Hochul to veto to avoid California’s overreach.

– Universal Pictures and Blumhouse, with X and Westbound Creative, they launched a Black Phone 2 marketing campaign using X Video Calls. On October 13th as “Black Phone 2”, they called fans delivering a 75-second horror sequence with blood trails, jump scares, eerie scenery, personalized distress cries, and film audio, tied to the sequel’s plot of the undead Grabber. The October 16th post garnered 3 million views, boosting buzz for today’s theatrical release.

■ xAI:

– Marc Benioff (@Benioff), Salesforce CEO, stated today that he used Grok to create a viral image after ChatGPT declined due to content restrictions, highlighting Grok’s open creativity versus what he calls corporate censorship. So he subbed to ChatGPT, but used Grok to edit and image with Sam Altman… lol

– NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang (@JensenHuang) and Elon at the Starfactory prior to Flight 11 of Starship. Jensen delivered the DGX Spark, a 1.2kg AI supercomputer with 1 petaflop performance and 128GB unified memory. Video posted by NVIDIA (@nvidia).

– Time to back pedal! At Fortune Magazine’s Titans and Disruptors of Industry Event, former VP and Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) stated the following on Elon not being invited by the Biden Admin’s EV Summit, “Here he is, a major American manufacturer of extraordinary innovation in this space, and in space, and the fact that he was not invited, on merit, a President of the United States I believe has to put aside political loyalties.”

Either she is done with political office or their new message is to try and make amends, because he is destroying their party and showing America who and what they truly are… as he said he would.
