– Jesse Kaplan (@lakesbutta) spotted the Ralph’s Tesla Semi on the 101 in LA near the 405 interchange.
– Tesla Semi Lead, Dan Priestley (@danWpriestley), stated that the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for electric vehicle (EV) trucks like the Tesla Semi is already superior to diesel trucks in many commercial applications due to lower operating and maintenance costs, and that the industry’s shift to EVs will occur more rapidly than anticipated once fleets recognize these advantages.
– Finally! Some Solar news! Tesla introduced a new Solar and Powerwall leasing program. You can lease Solar for 25 years and Powerwall for 12 years, a Buyout option after 5 year five. The price will be outlined in contract. Upfront Cost for Solar is $600 ($100 deposit + $500 progress payment) and $100 deposit per Powerwall. Tesla internalizes tax credits and incentives and passes the savings to you through lower monthly payments upfront. Tesla covers all maintenance, service and monitoring for the full lease term, including battery and inverter replacement. Lease payments are fixed compared to rising utility bills. If you choose not to buyout at end of term, you can renew for five years at a new rate, or have Tesla remove your system for a fee.

The team has set up the “Vertical Cassette 4” (VC4) for the belt conveyor system.
– In a blog post, TBC stated the Music City LOOP requires 45 permits and approvals, including reviews from the Tennessee Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, and Metro Nashville Airport Authority Board. Environmental studies are mandatory, comprising an ongoing third-party environmental impact assessment to be publicly posted on the company’s website and separate geotechnical assessments to determine tunnel depth. TBC has committed to bimonthly progress updates on its website and X account for community transparency. TBC Blog Post in the sources section.
– TBC has also be driving community engagement in Nashville through hiring events offering full-time positions and internships, plus partnerships with Vanderbilt, Trevecca Nazarene, Tennessee State, Belmont, Middle Tennessee State, University of Tennessee, and Lipscomb universities for student and graduate opportunities. – The U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC) issued a solicitation on Sept. 16th for companies to design a compact radio-frequency terminal compatible with the Starlink network. This is to support President Trump’s Golden Dome missile defense system by enabling tracking and defense against threats. The terminal must establish satellite-to-satellite links between the Starlink constellation and a space-based missile interceptor, operate in low Earth orbit and other orbits using L- and S-band spectrum, and support SpaceX’s proprietary Link-182 waveform. This will leverage high-heritage components with minimal modifications due to the tight timeline. A demonstration of a Starlink-to-terminal link, with the terminal hosted on a satellite acting as a missile interceptor proxy, is required within 12 months.

■ ELON NEWS:
– My favorite thing about Elon being worth $500 billion, is he puts nearly every cent back into his companies, ensuring his success is based on their success.
This is one main reasons I like the man. He puts his money where his mouth is. He goes all in from the beginning and never stops. That attitude has caused him pain and joy. But most of all, it created the greatest companies on Earth. Hands down.
Like I always say, for those that are too blind to see this, we are not mad at you, but get out of his way.
