– Dan Sinawat, CEO and Founder of VC ARENA, celebrated his birthday with a new Model Y and a Giga Texas Tour! This past weekend he took delivery at Giga Texas’ new on-site Customer Delivery Center.

Per Dan, “This car is truly the AI car for an AI CONNEX company. It even drove me home from Austin to Dallas. I’m still buzzing from the incredible tour of the Giga Texas factory. It was amazing to see how the Model Y and Cybertruck are made right here in the USA, from raw materials to final assembly.”

– Tesla increased U.S. lease prices for Model 3 and Y by up to 11% after the federal tax credits expired. The Model Y now starts at $529–$599/mo, up from $479–$529, while Model 3 ranges $429–$759/mo, up from $349–$699). To offset this, Tesla introduced a $6,500 lease credit.

– New 60 month financing offers include 2.99% APR on Model 3 and 3.99% APR on Model Y with credit scores of 720 or higher.

– In Canada, all terms for the S3XY lineup and Cybertruck are now 4.69%, down from 4.89%.

– Tesla Energy and Neoen Australia have selected UGL to construct the 252 Megapack 2XL 164 MW / 905 MWh Muchea Battery in Western Australia. This UGL’s 9th battery installation project, 6th for Neoen, and 6th in partnership with Tesla. This is Neoen’s first 6-hour long-duration storage asset. UGL’s contract scope includes: preparing the site for installation and connection of the 252 Megapacks; designing and constructing a 132 kV substation; installing high-voltage infrastructure; building control and switchroom facilities; performing earthworks and footings; and providing testing and commissioning support. UGL Managing Director Doug Moss stated: “We’re supporting the energy transition through high-voltage transmission upgrades, regional electricity fortification, and the delivery of firming assets that strengthen the grid.” Render by UGL.

– Neoen Australia has surpassed 3 GWh of storage capacity in Western Australia, achieved in under three years through collaboration with Tesla, UGL, Western Power, and AEMO. Key milestones include commissioning Collie Battery 2 four months ahead of schedule and starting construction on the Muchea Battery, a 6-hour long-duration storage asset on Whadjuk people’s land. The Muchea project, Neoen’s third with Tesla and UGL in WA, is supported by a Capacity Investment Scheme Agreement with the Australian Government. Video by Neoen.

– Megapacks have arrived for Luminace’s 8.75 MW/17.5 MWh storage project. This BESS is at the 8.75 MW solar project by the Kit Carson Electric Cooperative in Taos, New Mexico. Pairing energy storage with a solar photovoltaic array to provide reliable, sustainable power to the community.

– Tesla is seeking dismissal of a Texas lawsuit claiming defective Model Y door handles prevented rescuing a passenger, Susmita Maddi, from a burning vehicle after a 2023 crash in Virginia caused by her husband’s medical emergency. Tesla argues the case is baseless due to a binding arbitration clause in the purchase contract, compliance with safety standards, and no post-sale duty to warn under Texas law. If not dismissed, Tesla requests a jury trial, citing external negligence.

– Energy Solutions Group commissioned a 28 Megapack 2XL, 75MW/300MWh, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Harmignies, Belgium, one of the largest in the country. The project includes twenty-two 4400kVA 33000/480-480V Wilson MV Transformers connecting the Megapacks to Elia Group’s high-voltage substation. The system delivers 75MW continuous output for four hours, enhancing grid balancing and renewable energy integration into Belgium’s high-voltage grid.

– Flatiron Energy’s Chris Groves and Brian Grummel, participated in a Tesla’s hands-on safety training event with the San Bernardino County Fire Department. The event focused on safety and emergency procedures for the Tesla ecosystem, including the Megapack 2. The training highlighted the importance of partnerships between technology leaders and safety professionals in building safer, resilient communities and advancing clean energy.

– Aimee Frugoli, Senior Recruiter, and Michelle Hale, Senior Community Engagement Program Manager, represented Tesla at the Nevada Women’s Fund Celebrating Achievement event. The event honored 149 women scholarship recipients and recognized contributors. Frugoli highlighted the inspiring stories of the recipients and discussed career opportunities, emphasizing the importance of supporting women. Hale accepted an award as a Ruby Gem Society Member and thanked colleagues Frugoli and Mackenzie Wright and event organizers Ila Friedenthal, Marge Millar, Michele Montoya, and Morgan Gottier for their efforts in celebrating women’s achievements and fostering brighter futures.

– As SpaceX increases cadence and adds launch complexes, Port Canaveral added a third mobile harbor crane to be ready. It is modified with elevated masts and counterweights for space industry use. SpaceX’s FAA-approved launch increases (120 at Cape Canaveral, 36 at Kennedy Space Center) could add 102 Atlantic landings. But that is not all, eventually Relativity Space (up to 24 annual launches) and Blue Origin (12 launches/year) will be needing lifts.

– Attorney Ric Gonzalez and Democrat Texas State Rep. Terry Canales say the City of Starbase may be violating the Texas Open Meetings Act by posting City Commission meeting agendas on SpaceX’s private property, inaccessible without permission. It is supposed to be at a public city hall location. In September, CBS 4 Investigates, led by Derick Garcia, was blocked by a SpaceX gate on Esperson Street and redirected from The Hub, SpaceX’s temporary city hall. City Administrator Kent Myers says they are in compliance and the temporary setup is within state law.

– The EU Council’s vote on the CSAM Regulation, set for October 14, 2025, mandates client-side scanning (CSS) of private communications before encryption to detect child sexual abuse material and grooming. Critics, including nearly 500 EU scientists, warn of high false-positive rates (e.g., 48% error in German scans), violations of EU Charter privacy rights, exploitable end-to-end encryption backdoors, and easy circumvention via VPNs. X opposes it for undermining encryption while maintaining CSAM detection. Nine member states blocked it on September 12, but 14 support it, with 4 undecided. If passed, it would apply to all EU messaging/email providers, exempting government accounts, and expand ProtectEU decryption by 2030.

– Stefania Baldi (@stefaniabaldi), X’s Senior Strategic Partnerships Leader for EMEA & US, reported that the soccer (football) event, Ballon d’Or, on September 22nd generated 4 billion impressions (+23% YoY), 484 million video views (+90% YoY), and 1.9 million posts (+45% YoY) on X within 72 hours. Ousmane Dembélé won the Men’s Ballon d’Or, Aitana Bonmatí secured her third consecutive Women’s Ballon d’Or, and Lamine Yamal earned his second Kopa Trophy, driving engagement. Per Stefania, “This is what happens when the biggest football moments meet the most passionate global audience. X is where sport lives. It’s where fans, clubs, and athletes turn moments into worldwide celebrations in real time.”

High quality data is the stepping stone to AGI. We are creating a small community of savants that will work together here in Palo Alto to build the highest quality evals. If you think you are exceptional (whether you are a historian, a writer, a doctor, a cinematographer, etc) feel free to send me a DM. I would love to speak with you.”

– Apple is seeking to dismiss xAI’s lawsuit that claims Apple’s partnership with OpenAI prevents competitors like xAI’s Grok from reaching the top spot on the iPhone App Store charts. Apple’s lawyers argue the lawsuit is based on “speculation on top of speculation,” asserting that antitrust laws don’t require partnering with every AI chatbot regardless of quality, privacy, safety, feasibility, or terms. They note Apple plans to integrate other AI models, such as Google’s Gemini.
