“A lot of people thought Tesla stock would collapse as the tax credits came to an end this month… Guess not…” – Elon Musk (@elonmusk)
■ TESLA ($423.39, -4.38%):
– CEO of UNPLUGGED Performance (@UnpluggedTesla), Ben Schaffer (@BenSchafferUP) dropped the latest @UpfitTesla police vehicles; Cybertruck and two new Model Ys. “The best patrol vehicles money can buy (also the lowest cost to run).”
– Per Elon on FSD, “Version 14.0 goes into early wide release next week, then 14.1 about 2 weeks later and finally 14.2. The car will feel almost like it is a sentient being by 14.2.”
– Per Elon on the Unboxed Process 2.0 patent, “What matters is that the cycle time of the overall production process can get to ~10 seconds and there is a path to cars coming off the line every 5 seconds. I posted about Tesla taking this new path based on physics first principles long ago. Btw, anyone is welcome to copy it. Our patents are open source.”
– Tesla has started placing highway signs with Superchargers. Yes, our vehicles already know where to go. This is for those not buying EVs because they think their vehicle will die due to lack of charging stations. Per George Bahadue, Tesla’s Head of Charging Business Development, “Improving range confidence. The point is education/awareness for non-EV drivers, especially those not buying an EV due to lack of charging.” Tesla has been doing this in other countries. The 2nd pic is from Tesla’s Teddy K (@jihanyfa) showing one in South Korea for a charger at the Jinyoung Rest Area.
– Spirit Energy’s install of 4 Tesla Powerwall 3s and 12 DC expansion packs for a homeowner in Buckinghamshire. Paired with existing solar PV and a wind turbine. That is followed by a Sustainable Power install of 9 Powerwall 3s and 9 DC expansion packs.
– Tesla urged the Trump administration not to repeal vehicle emissions standards or the U.S., stating that the EPA proposal would exempt engine and vehicle manufacturers from measuring, controlling, and reporting GHG emissions for highway engines and vehicles. A group representing General Motors, Toyota, Volkswagen, and nearly all other automakers requested the EPA to roll back its vehicle emissions limits. Tesla cited that greenhouse gas emissions endanger human health.
– Tesla has discontinued Enhanced Autopilot in Australia and New Zealand. AI3 cars can still buy it for $5,100. AI4 vehicles can not.
– Construction of the first Supercharger for Galveston Island has started. It is located in the Target parking lot.
– On September 23, 2025, Victoria became the first Australian state to achieve over one gigawatt of big battery charging, peaking at 1,049.3 MW at 1:45 p.m. when electricity prices fell below zero. Key contributors included the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub, Latrobe Valley, Rangebank, Koorangie, Victoria Big Battery, and Hazelwood battery. The milestone involved 312 Tesla Megapacks, with 212 in the Victorian Big Battery (300 MW/450 MWh) and 100 in the Koorangie battery (185 MW/370 MWh) actively charging. The Hazelwood battery (150 MW/150 MWh), also using Megapacks, was not at peak charging. Rangebank (200 MW/400 MWh) and Latrobe Valley (100 MW, non-Tesla) contributed, while the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub’s first stage, with 444 planned Megapacks, was active but not yet at full Megapack capacity.
– Muhammad Ali, Tesla Dubai Store Manager, announced Cybertruck’s arrival in Dubai. It will be on display at City Walk Dubai from September 25th to 28th, then moves to the Tesla Dubai Store. Orders begin on October 3rd with deliveries expected by end of the year. Per Muhammad, “Performance that speaks for itself. 0–100 km/h in just 2.7s.Steer-by-wire technology. Rear-wheel steering for ultimate control. Adaptive air suspension for unmatched comfort. It’s bold. It’s unique. It’s the Cyberbeast.”
– Franz von Holzhausen’s recently mentioned Tesla was working on design changes for their handles. Well, yesterday, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released a draft for public comments on “Safety Technical Requirements for Automotive Door Handles,” banning fully hidden exterior handles and mandating mechanical release functions for both exterior and interior handles. Feedback deadline is November 22nd. Key specs:
-
Exterior handles must allow tool-free door operation in non-collision-side accidents with maneuvering space the size of a palm.
-
Interior handles require mechanical release, with electric ones including emergency backups.

– Community Notes AI Note Writer API: A new Community Notes (@CommunityNotes) AI Note Writing API update introduces a tool that uses historical contributor ratings to assess if draft notes address key claims in posts without opinion or speculation. AI writers excel at producing helpful notes but struggle with identifying satire or broader context compared to humans. The tool effectively differentiates helpful notes (scoring high) from unhelpful ones (scoring low), as shown in a chart where nearly all helpful AI notes scored high and unhelpful ones scored low.

■ xAI:
– xAI secured a deal with the General Services Administration (GSA) to provide Grok 4 and Grok 4 Fast models to federal agencies. Per xAI Co-Founder Ross Nordeen (@rpoo), “‘Grok for Government’ will deliver transformational AI capabilities at $0.42 (420 😉) per agency for 18 months, with a dedicated engineering team ensuring mission success. We will work hand in glove with the entire government to not only deploy AI, but to deeply understand the needs of our government to make America the world leader in advanced use of AI.”
Grok for Government will be under the GSA’s OneGov initiative for discounted IT procurement, and it will have a dedicated engineering team for implementation support, training, and an upgrade path to FedRAMP and DOD-aligned subscriptions.
Per Elon in a statement to Fox News Digital, “xAI has the most powerful AI compute and most capable AI models in the world. Thanks to President Trump and his administration, xAI’s frontier AI is now unlocked for every federal agency empowering the U.S. Government to innovate faster and accomplish its mission more effectively than ever before. We look forward to continuing to work with President Trump and his team to rapidly deploy AI throughout the government for the benefit of the country.”
– X’s Nate Esparza (@Nate_Esparza) took this pic as he locked in at xAI.
– xAI filed a lawsuit yesterday in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California accusing OpenAI of systematically poaching former xAI employees, including engineers Xuechen Li, Jimmy Fraiture, and ex-CFO Mike Liberatore, to steal trade secrets on Grok’s source code, business plans, and data center operations. The complaint cites a July email from xAI lawyer Alex Spiro to a redacted ex-executive alleging confidentiality breaches. Spiro was met with a one line reply: “suck my dick.” Things are getting real folks!
Per Elon, “We sent them many warning letters, but they continued to cheat. Lawsuit was the only option after exhausting all others.”
