“HAL opened the pod bay doors…” – Elon Musk (@elonmusk)
■ TESLA ($349.60, -0.59%):
– Not going to lie, a Starship launch is a Cybertruck convention, and I love it.
– Per Elon, “Tesla developed high resolution radar and the hardware is actually present in Model S & X, but it just can’t compare to passive optical (cameras), so we turned it off. As a side note, any military systems that rely on radar “stealth” technology are toast in a modern conflict, unless in very dense, continuous cloud cover. A toy AI chip can see you even at night with passive optical, especially if extended to infrared. The aircraft’s heated path through cold air sticks out like a laser beam!
LiDAR also does not work well in snow, rain or dust due to reflection scatter. That’s why Waymos stop working in any heavy precipitation. As I have said many times, there is a role for LiDAR in some circumstances and I personally oversaw the development of LiDAR for the SpaceX Dragon docking with Space Station. I am well aware of its strengths and weaknesses.”
– Tesla Semi testing in Oregon! Per Tesla Semi Lead, Dan Priestley (@danWpriestley), “Running Hood to coast.” Dan posted the pic of Semi near the Camp 18 Restaurant in Seaside, Oregon.
– Tesla announced they increased the Robotaxi service area in Austin, Texas, from 91 to 173 sq miles, and increased the fleet of cars available by 50%.
– Robotaxi Austin-Bergstrom International Airport drop-off confirmed at gate C1. Thanks Spencer (@scotsrule08).
– Tesla Energy will be at the RE+ (@REPlusEvents) at the Venetian and Caesars Forum in Las Vegas from the 8th – 11th of September, booth V9113.
– Harmony Energy has energized France’s largest battery energy storage system at Cheviré, a 52 Megapack 100MW/200MWh site built on the grounds of a former fossil fuel power plant. The project can supply 170,000 homes with electricity for two hours.
– Tesla China VP Grace Tao Lin posted a thank you to all prospective Model YL owners. “Buying a car is a major event for every family. Tesla has delivered over 8 million vehicles worldwide, and owners around the world know its safety, intelligence, efficiency, and durability. The all-new six-seater Model YL is a true global standard, and show cars are now arriving. Our colleagues at the Giga Shanghai are working overtime to get these new cars into your hands as quickly as possible.”
– Yesterday, Tesla Australia/New Zealand stated they has a big announcement for Friday the 29th, now Tesla Europe/Middle East has done the same but with above video!
– Per the historical Janów Podlaski Castle account, “Although the castle is a historical object, it looks into the future with openness. Within our walls, tradition meets modern – and the recent test drives of Tesla held here are the best example of this.”
– Tesla China’s Grace Tao Lin also posted that over 200 new students will join Tesla’s “Order Class,” a collaborative industry-education program Tesla has been developing since 2017. “Tesla has partnered with over 10 domestic universities to transform the classroom into a workshop. By jointly developing curriculum, building training bases, and sharing faculty resources, students not only learn the latest industry technologies at home but also gain direct access to Tesla’s technical training instructors and regional managers.”
– Téo Gautheret, Tesla Lausanne Store Supervisor in Switzerland, and Team held a Drive-In movie for their Electrify Summer Vol II event. “Grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of our first Drive-In Cinema in Tesla Lausanne! It was inspiring to witness strong collaboration between teams, and the Tesla community joyfully welcoming outsiders to share this memorable evening.”
– Tesla’s grand opening of their Port Coquitlam Center in Canada. Per Tesla’s Store Manager, Charlie Wang, “This past week, we proudly opened the doors to our newest Tesla location. Hundreds in the community showed up – Beyond the numbers, the energy was inspiring: families exploring our latest vehicles, guests experiencing Full Self-Driving, and our team engaging directly with a community that’s just as passionate about innovation and sustainability as we are.”

■ SPACEX:
– Flight 10, SpaceX’s 108th launch of the year, was a unbelievable success! Yesterday, Starship 37 and Super Heavy Booster 16 took flight from the Orbital Launch Mount at Pad 1 in Starbase, Texas.
SHB 16 performed perfectly, after ascent and hot staging, the booster did its flip back maneuver, did a controlled decent, ignited three raptors, hoovered over the Gulf of America, disengaged each raptor one after another, and dropped, exploding on impact in the Gulf of America. All as planned!
Starship 37 gave us a beautiful flight halfway around the world. For the first, the payload bay door opened and 8 Mock-Starlinks were deployed by the Pez-Despenser! Per SpaceX VP of Satellite Engineering Ben Longmier (@longmier), “Among many breakthrough technology items on the forthcoming V3 Starlink satellite, the prop team did an amazing job on the next gen Argon Hall thruster. Some people in the Electric Propulsion industry still don’t believe that our V2 satellite thruster specs are real with argon propellant. This V3 thruster smashes even those old specs to pieces.”
Shortly after an in-space Raptor engine relight test was performed. Shortly after some drama ensued from what appeared to be a vent pressure explosion near the engines.
It tore away small parts of the outer wall and some of the rear flap. There never was a fire and Ship continued on. Reentry was intense and gorgeous with its array of colors and plasma as chunks of the damaged flapped ripped away. But the flaps performed liked nothing happened.
The heatshield held, Ship went horizontal, performed a bellyflop, and softly did a controlled splashdown in the Indian Ocean, stood high, tumbled over, and exploded. All test were performed and completed. This was the Starship Project’s best mission so far!
Per SpaceX President & COO Gwynne Shotwell (@Gwynne_Shotwell), “Don’t bet against SpaceX!“
Per Elon, “Great work by the SpaceX team!“
– This morning, launch 109 of Falcon 9 Starlink 10-56 took place from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. This was the second flight for first stage booster B1095. It previously launched one Starlink mission. The booster landed on drone ship Just Read the Instructions in the Atlantic Ocean. The 400th droneship landing! 28 Starlinks were deployed.
– SpaceX dropped a video on the newly acquired lease of Space Launch Complex 37 (SLC-37) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Base.

■ THE BORING COMPANY:
– TBC gave us a glimpse of the pit for the Music City LOOP. Bottom pic by Adam Sichko, Senior Reporter at the Nashville Business Journal.
– TBC also gave us a Vegas LOOP update. Prufrock emerged near the Encore Casino and did a crane-less “porpoise” retrieval. This is a 2nd tunnel near Encore, as the Encore-LVCC Connector tunnel opened in 2025. Prufrock has already been recovered, is going through regular maintenance, and will soon be put back to work. Pics by Captain Eli (@TheCaptainEli) and Jeff Spivey (@jeffspivey11).
– According to Steve Hill, President and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, The Boring Company has been testing FSD in Vegas Loop for a few months now. Plans are to implement FSD Supervised by the end of the year.

■ STARLINK:
– SpaceX via Starlink Services LLC is interested in acquiring airwaves owned by EchoStar Corp., the parent company of DISH Network, according to a Semafor report. If this is true, SpaceX may be aiming to disrupt the U.S. telecom market that is dominated by AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. SpaceX might be building its own cellular network! AT&T recently purchased most of EchoStar’s spectrum licenses for $23 billion, but EchoStar still holds valuable airwaves valued at approximately $30 billion. T-Mobile is also in talks to acquire the remaining spectrum not purchased by AT&T. FCC chief Brendan Carr is pressuring EchoStar to sell the unused spectrum.
– Sam Groome, Founder and Director at Autonomous Maritime Services, along with the Peel Ports Group, is preparing the Fitzroy for autonomous maritime operations. The vehicle is run the Mersey River in England and beyond. They successfully installed and tested Starlink, and implemented a dynamic failover from 4G straight to Starlink for continuous connection.
– Starlink has introduced a “Lite” residential offer in France for 29-euros per month, breaking the 30-euro barrier for satellite internet. The Standard Kit price has also dropped to 99 euros from 349 euros with a 12 month 40-euro plan.
■ X:
– X Global Government Affairs (@GlobalAffairs) announced Lucy Connolly has been released from prison after serving 10 months of a 31-month sentence for a single deleted post. “The UK government’s crackdown on free speech remains a concern, but it’s great to see Lucy reunite with her family. X will continue to be steadfast in our support of users’ right to freedom of speech on the platform.”
Per Elon, “This madness needs to end. This is why our constitutional right to freedom of speech is so fundamental, as well as the right to bear arms, which is the only thing truly protecting freedom of speech.”
– The latest X iOS update will now show a “View Quotes” button under popular posts.
■ xAI:
– Grok Code Fast 1 is now available in Windsurf and in Cursor. You get it free for one week on Cursor. It’s priced at $0.2/1M input, $1.5/1M output. Both platforms are AI-powered code editors designed to enhance developer productivity by integrating advanced AI directly into the coding environment.
– Per Michael Dell (@MichaelDell), “Great to see Elon and xAI open-sourcing Grok 2.5! This further democratizes AI, sparks global innovation, and pushes the industry forward. Starting tomorrow morning, it will be available on the Dell Enterprise Hub.”
■ DOGE:
Estimated Savings: $205 Billion
Amount Saved Per Taxpayer: $1,273.29
■ ELON NEWS:
– Yesterday, Elon posted, offering to fund legal actions against UK officials implicated in a government inquiry led by MP Rupert Lowe. The inquiry revealed systemic child sexual exploitation by gangs across 85 regions, echoing the 2014 Rotherham report’s estimate of 1,400 victims. The inquiry exposed decades of negligence by police and councils, with delays in justice linked to racial sensitivities, political cover-ups, and socioeconomic disparities.
Per Elon, “I would like to help fund legal actions against corrupt officials who aided and abetted the rape of Britain, per the official government inquiry. Please reply below for consideration.
Who will protect the children if not the strong? Frankly, I understand why some people hate billionaires if they throw parties on yachts, make useless virtue-signaling donations, but do nothing real to protect those in need.” ClickHERE for consideration.
